Happy Father's Day

Ema truly loves her daddy....and there's no question that Gage adores Ema. The two are very much alike in many ways. When they sleep, they are like mirror images of each other, passed out to the world and in their own dreams. Only difference -- Gage snores much louder! When Ema was born, I looked across the room and she looked exactly like her daddy. She has since really grown into her own looks, but still bears a strong resemblance to Daddy...or Gage as she will call him when she really wants his attention. While Gage is often the enforcer and the bearer of discipline, he can be a pushover -- especially when it comes to things Ema wants, like chocolate. He definitely spoils her. I feel very fortunate to have a husband who totally adores our child and treats me well. I know Ema will always have a close connection with her Daddy.

Gage celebrated his weekend by getting down with some video game action with John. Feeling challenged by the comment they were getting old and couldn't stay up late, they downed their Red Bull and persisted until almost 4 a.m. playing the new Grand Theft Auto against others online (read against teenagers). But it was a good time for the two of them and there are definitely much worse things they could be doing. Before their video gaming, they both (plus Rye) indulged in burgers with fried eggs on them. Maybe that is why they were up so late!

Although it was technically a weekend for the dads, it was even more a weekend for Ema and her cousin Kenzie. The two had a blast swimming, playing, shopping and eating. It's fun to watch them grow up together!

Enjoy the photos!
