Heading to Vietnam...

I leave for Vietnam on Thursday! Below is a quick glance at some of the things I will see and do.

Gage will try to update the blog during my trip. Hopefully I will have some Internet access during the trip.

Vietnam is 12 hours ahead of Richmond

Thursday March 9
Leave Richmond at 2:45 p.m….fly through Washington Dulles and then to Los Angeles

Friday March 10
Fly out of LA to Hong Kong…..15 ½ hour flight

Saturday March 10
arrive in Hanoi around 10 a.m. Vietnam time

Sunday March 11
Tour of Hanoi
Visiting pagodas, temples and Ho Chi Minh Museum
Lunch at KOTO restaurant where street kids are trained in culinary arts; President Clinton once ate there.
Attend Hanoi Water Puppet Show

Monday March 12
Visit National office in Hanoi
More sightseeing in Hanoi

Tuesday March 13
Visit Hoa Binh project about two hours north of Hanoi. Will visit schools and the children. Also, this is when the sponsors will meet their sponsored children...similar to the Mexico trip.

Wednesday March 14

Thursday March 15
Visit workshop that employs young adults with physical and mental challenges

Depart at 11:40 a.m. Travel through Hong Kong and then Los Angeles…only 12 ½ hours between Hong Kong and LA this time!

Return to Richmond at 9:07 a.m.
