I apologize for not posting yesterday. This one will be brief.
Jen traveled two hours and was dropped off at a basketball court near the town's center. Dancers welcomed the party and kids paired off with each visitor. Again, she was overwhelmed by the introduction and had trouble holding back her tears. The kids were beautiful.
The party ate tacos for the first time on the trip. After lunch, they toured the center that CCF built for the town and saw the benefits it gave to the children. Jen said that Nick Foley, a professional wrestler, was recognized by a boy on a donkey, who had come to see what the commotion was all about. The boy's face lit up and Nick spent some time with the kid.
The group ventured to an active volcano next and saw steam rising from its mouth. Jen said there was a church half covered in ashes near the base. It was quite a sight.
The party returned to home base for dinner. Jen ate sopas and sat next to Nick. The two talked about the day when Jen noticed his gaze move to the front door. A group of students gathered and the wrestler sensed what was going on. He excused himself and joined the students, who screamed like he was a rock star.
Jen described the day as amazing. She said the constant activity has made many of them tired and two went home early because of health issues. But Jen sounds great!
